As some of you may know, Prentis Hale and SHED Architecture is a big reason I'm now a broker! When we moved here in 2019, I happened to see a Seattle MidCentury remodel SHED had done featured in DWELL Magazine. I wrote him a "fan letter" asking for realtor referrals as i was looking for my own MCM project. Prentis introduced me to Jane Orvis who helped us find our MCM in Cedar Park and it was Jane who suggested I should become a realtor AND work with her.
What a crazy few years all from reading an article about a remodeled MCM of our dreams like this one.
From Design Milk:
In scenic West Seattle, Washington, perched atop a cliff with panoramic views of Vashon Island, the Olympic Mountains, and the Puget Sound, stands the Lark House. Originally designed in 1958 by esteemed architect Al Bumgardner, this mid-century gem has recently undergone a transformative renovation, reimagining its space to better align with its present owners while honoring its legacy. The project, led by SHED Architecture & Design, breathes new life into the home by delicately balancing innovation with preservation.
